How to access your course

After logging in, your assigned course appears on your dashboard. Click the course name or the Start / Continue button to open it.

If no course appears on your dashboard, you may not have been enrolled yet. Contact your Facility Director.

What the course contains

Your course is made up of lessons and quizzes organized into sections. The course curriculum is visible in the left sidebar when you are inside the course.

• Lessons — each lesson covers a topic area. Read or watch the content, then mark it complete.
• Quizzes — some sections include a quiz. You must pass the quiz to complete that section.
• No time limit — you can work through the course at your own pace. However, your facility may have a target completion deadline. Check with your Facility Director if you are unsure.

How to mark a lesson complete

Work through the lesson content. At the end of each lesson, click Mark Complete. Your progress percentage will update immediately.

Gotcha — Opening a lesson does not mark it complete. You must reach the end of the lesson and click the completion button. Simply navigating away from a lesson does not count it.

How completion is verified

Your completion status is tracked automatically. When you reach 100%:

• Your status in the Director Portal updates to Completed
• A certificate is issued to your account
• Your MedGas Library access is activated

Your Facility Director can see your exact progress percentage at any time in their Director Portal.

Your certificate

Your completion certificate is issued automatically when you finish the course. To download it:

1. Log in to Lantern Academy.
2. Go to your profile (click your name or the profile icon in the navigation).
3. Find the Certificates section and download your certificate.

Your Facility Director can also download your certificate from their Director Portal.

Gotcha — Certificate links require you to be logged in. If someone shares a certificate link with you by email and you try to open it without being logged in, it will not work. Always access your certificate from inside Lantern while logged in.
