The Gemini rough-in is the permanently installed wall, ceiling, or console base for Gemini medical gas outlets. A complete outlet pairs this rough-in with a matching gas-specific finish assembly. Gemini outlets are designed to be interchangeable with Ohio/Ohmeda/Medaes Diamond II and Diamond III outlets and accept only Diamond style pin-indexed adapters.
The rough-in uses a die-cast mounting plate with interlocking flanges on all four sides, attached with 10-24 hex-head screws to form a single installation unit. A 1/2" (13 mm) raised plaster flange is provided. A brass secondary check mounts to the plate and uses a single integral neoprene seal that is serviceable from the front, with a brass valve body and an internal stainless steel (vacuum) or phosphor bronze (pressure gases) spring.
A 7" (178 mm) inlet tube is silver-brazed to the brass check body and rotates 360° with or without the finish installed to simplify piping. Free rotation can be restrained for positioning during installation.

Installation Dimensions
Outlet center-to-center spacing is 4-1/2" (114 mm). Depth in wall from the back of the plaster is approximately 1-3/4" (45 mm).
